Key Differences: Instant Pot DUO60 vs LUX 80

Here’s a list of the main differences of the DUO60 and the LUX80.

Capacity

The Instant Pot DUO60 is a 6-quart multi-cooker, and the LUX 80 has an 8-quart capacity. As a guide, a 6-quart cooker is best for families of 4 to 6 people. An 8-quart capacity pressure cooker is for larger families of more than 6 members.

Functionality

The Instant Pot DUO60 is considered as 7-in-1 because aside from its saute and pressure cooker functionalities, it can also act as a Yogurt Maker. This functionality is something that the LUX 80 lacks.

Built-in Programs

The Instant Pot DUO60 has 14 built-in programs and the LUX 80 has 10. It’s important to note, however, that even though the LUX80 has less pre-set programs, it has two settings (Cake and Egg) that you can’t find in the DUO60.

Pressure Cooking

With the Instant Pot DUO60, you can choose between “High” and “Low” pressure settings. With the LUX 80, it’s high pressure only.

Accessories

The Instant Pot DUO60 comes with a lid holder and a steam rack with handle. The LUX 80, on the other hand, doesn’t have a lid holder. It does come with a steam rack, but it doesn’t have handles.

Size and Weight

As an 8-quart pressure cooker, the LUX80 is bigger and heavier than the DUO60.
